A look back upon the Stanley Vollant Challenge 2017
A month ago, on October 7, the Stanley Vollant Challenge 2017 was held on Mount Royal. 300 people showed up to take part in the activity despite uncertain weather and a few rain drops. We are very grateful to all the walkers for your participation. Many of you have remained on site to taste native foods, purchase crafts and engage in conversations to the relaxing sound of drums and songs.
We acknowledge the presence of Mr. Denis Coderre, Chief Christine Zachary Deom of the Mohawk Council of Kahanawake, and Chief of the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec and Labrador, Ghislain Picard.
We also are very grateful to the Organizing Committee of Sarah Bourque, Nadine St-Louis, Marie-Eve Cotton, Éric Cardinal and Pascal Hannoual as well as Isabelle Picard, Event Coordinator. Furthermore, we pay a tribute to the dedication of our many volunteers who helped make this event a success.
Finally, we cannot pass under silence our partners without whom that event would not have taken place: Rio Tinto Canada, the Ville de Montréal and the Government of Quebec.
We count on your participation to a future edition!
